Informations
TC Electronics designed the G-System for guitarists who want the very best, and they want it within reach. It's an effect processor, management system and tuner in one and can even be divided into a 19-inch rack GFX01 and floor controller for maximum flexibility.
The G-System has two pre-FX sections for filter and compression with a resonator, formant, wah and effect filters. You have multiple preset compression options at your disposal and all these applications have a sampling rate of 96kHz/24bit, ensuring the overtones in your original guitar signal remain intact. You can then activate your favourite distortion and overdrive pedals in the loop sections and maintain maximum gain and harmonics. There are four loop sections with send and return inputs that deliver True Bypass analogue loops and there's a special loop you can connect to your preamp.
There are four groups of effects: Modulation, Pitch, Delay and Reverb. Under Modulation, you'll find chorus, tremolo and vibrato effects and under Pitch, you'll find detuning, whammy's and octaver effects. There are all kinds of echoes and delays under Delay and Reverb consists of hall, plate, room and spring delay.
On the front of the G-System, there is a tuning function and a tap-tempo button, which can be used to adjust the intervals between the delays and echoes. There is also a Boost button that adds up to +12 dB to your leads and solos.
On the rear, you'll find a Hi-Z input for your guitar, send and return loops and four powered 9-volt DC inputs. There's also a left and right output for connecting stereo or dual mono amps. With the two switch outputs, you can select amp channels by means of the G-System. If you also want to use MIDI-controlled gear, then you can use the G-System's MIDI inputs and outputs.
Connect a volume or expression pedal to the Pedal In. There is also a USB power on the rear for installing software updates directly and for recording a digital signal.
You can adjust all the settings as desired and have 100 presets and 200 user settings distributed over four banks at your disposal. Change the parameters by pressing in the Edit button until you hear the effect you want. The top row of controls labelled A, B, C and Page are to change parameter A, B or C and the page, respectively.
