Informations
The benefits of playing an electronic kit are only getting better and better, and while the playing feel and creative potential of these kits improves, drum amplification needs to keep up. Unsurprisingly, the Alesis Strike Amp 8 is more than capable. This purpose-designed electronic drum kit amplifier comes housed in a tight, space-saving cabinet loaded with an 8" woofer. While a few inches smaller than its 12" comrade, this compact amp is just as potent.
The Alesis Strike Amp 8
Remarkably, just like the Strike Amp 12, the Amp 8 is able to push up to 2,000 Watts of power - more than enough for most gigs. Even at this level of output, the amplifier is able to shape the full and defined depth of kicks and toms and when you really push the volume, they deliver a satisfying punch to the gut. Higher-frequency sounds like the snare and cymbals are just as defined, balanced and clear, and even when you pull the volume way back, the clarity and definition is retained across the entire range.
Connections
Your module is simply hooked up to the Strike Amp 8 via a pair of XLR/TRS jack combo inputs either in stereo or two-part mono, where the volume can be set per side. This amp is also fully prepped for a dual-amp set-up since two Strike amps can be linked, and due to the cabinet construction, a single Strike can be set up and used as a personal tilt-back stage monitor - it can even be stand-mounted.
